Yacht Tour, an Unforgettable Activity in Busan

Busan is a well-known marine city in Korea and there is a great deal of marine industries. Suyeongman, located in Haeundae, is strengthening its position every year. Started with the 1986 Asian game, many prestigious world games like Olympics, women's world match yacht race and famous festivals such as pink run and Haeundae yacht party were held. Nowadays, Suyeongman is famous for yachts. Since the 2015 marina law reform, yacht tour has been open to public. Currently, there are about 40 yacht companies in Haeundae. Among these, 13 companies accept reservations online.

　Customers can make a customized reservation by phone or online. There are 'Public Tour' and 'Private Tour'. Public tour departs with four to eleven people. Though private tour is expensive, it doesn't have a required minimum number of customers. Public tour costs about 20,000 KRW, and private tour costs about 150,000 to 200,000 KRW. The basic yacht tour route goes around the Marine City-Haeundae Beach-Gwangalli-Waterside Park- Gwangandaegyo Bridge. The whole tour takes about an hour.

　The yacht company staff(YachtYa) said, "The yacht tour starts with the beverages and snacks on the deck. 64ft large yacht is used in public tours. Families, couples and friends come to enjoy the tour. We are always trying to listen to the customers' opinions and claims. Therefore, we added some activities such as fishing on the deck, taking Polaroid photos and flying wish lanterns. Sunset tours and night view tours are especially recommended."

　Cha Su-yeon, who lives in Haeundae, said, "The best part of this tour is that we can rent the luxury yacht for a whole day by just paying some fee. The tour is easily influenced by the weather, therefore, it would be great if the customers check the weather in advance."

　It has been less than 3 years since the yacht tour actually started. The yacht companies are developing to fit the taste of customers. Once the yacht arena is redeveloped, customers may use the new facilities in a more pleasant environment.
